Our weekly "shout out" to see who's up for dancing and where we'd like to go.

Dancing Etiquette & Rueda Etiquette for those of you who are new to dancing (or even if you're not). A quick read that outlines dancing etiquette very nicely.

 Oscar D'Leon performing in Denver Friday, November 6th, 2009

Rough Schedule: 
La Makina (Merengue band)will go on somewhere around 8:30-9:00pm. 
Oscar D'Leon will go on somewhere around 11:00pm and play all the way

  We have two salsa/reuda field trips coming up
If you are interested/available for driving please let me know.
Everyone will have to pay for their own admission to the events listed below.
I would prefer to meet at Wesley Chapel, car pool from there, and get to the venues in time for everyone to take the evening's lesson.

The D-Note and Turnverein are "low stress", friendly environments for beginners.  They both all excellent places to dance and meet new people. Hope everyone makes an effort to make it to one or both of these events, you've earned it!

Rueda Dance Club in Denver - starts 2-19-09

Pat Kirby, one of our Ritmos members in Denver, is starting a Rueda Club

in SE Denver (5 Minutes from I-225 and Parker Road). The club is FREE to

join, and will meet on Thursday evenings.

Church Ranch Event Center's Sunday Salsa nights The dance floor is huge and the room can fit 450 people in the main area. There is an outdoor garden area with fountains and flowers and salsa music and dancing will also be outside. Located at 10200 Olde Wadsworth Blvd in Westminster. Cover: $10 lessons and dancing $8 for dancing only

Ages: 18 and up

Food: Dinner is available and the dishes are between $6 and $10. $4 drinks $4 drafts $5 wine

Directions to The Church Ranch Event Center: (located right in the middle between Boulder and Denver)

From Boulder, take the 104th Ave/Church Ranch Blvd exit. Turn right, (pass the Super Target) and turn right at onto Olde Wadsworth Blvd. It's then about 500 feet on your right.
